Foiled Again
I had to go down to Fort Bragg again today, this time to meet with the tourism folks. Business meetings aren’t that bad when they involve a two hour drive on some of the twistiest roads around. Probably should’ve taken the Sprint, but I wanted to get some pictures of Glass Beach, so I was taking down a bunch of camera equipment, and ended up driving the Del Sol. It isn’t very often that I really get to drive the Del Sol the way it was meant to, since usually there is a throttle regulator in the passenger seat. Top down, pedal to the metal all the way. This time the sky was nice and sunny, but some far-away storm was churning up the sea with 18′ swells, so the waves were breaking way up on the shore. You couldn’t even get down on the beach, and when the waves went out it looks like there was so much fresh sand being pushed up, there wasn’t any glass on Glass Beach.
