Lori has been costuming since she was a little girl, her Barbie was an early subject. During the 40 years that I have known Lori, she has always been associated with costumes. She worked for two costume shops in the Bay Area, Victoria’s and Bob Mandel’s. She was a member of the Bay Area Costume Guild. She has designed costumes for theatre productions and dance companies. She currently holds two costume related jobs, one for North Coast Dance and one for the Ferndale Repertory Theatre.

In those 40 years she’s made many costumes for herself, and one of our first dates was going to the Renaissance Fair in Novato, which she made costumes for both of us, and somehow talked me into wearing tights in public. Ah, the things a young man will do for love.

Here are some of the costumes Lori has made.
