Since I started playing around with the Seek app, I found it much easier to identify the plants in my garden that I didn’t plant. Some of them are native plants, some have been introduced, some I have lovingly incorporated, and some, like the Giant Horsetail, I hate with a vengeance usually reserved for presidents who pay off porn stars while claiming to be Christian.

Someday I might get around to publishing online an inventory of my garden plants, but for now that’s all cataloged in a FileMaker Pro database.

In each section below, where applicable I break the plants into four categories:

  1. Native Plants – Indigenous to this area and welcome in my garden.
  2. Native Weeds – Indigenous to this area and not welcome in my garden.
  3. Introduced Plants – Introduced to this area and now grows in the wild and welcome in my garden.
  4. Introduced Weeds – Introduced to this area and now grows in the wild, but not welcome in my garden.
