It’s finally getting back to the season that I love most, and a week early we’ve been having some fine spring weather. After helping put out a fire in a mobile home this afternoon, I went over to the Lost Coast with Mabel to take some pictures. The light was changing during the whole shoot making it very difficult to get good exposures but we did get some good shots. Around 5:00 it clouded up pretty heavy and it was too cold to continue so we started back to Ferndale. On the way over the Wildcat, we saw a very pretty sunset over the fog that was rolling in. It was at a spot that I’ve always wanted to photograph because it is so picturesque, and this seemed the perfect time to do it, so we found a place to pull over and took a number of photos. Several other cars slowed to look, and I’m not sure if they were checking out Mabel, or the sunset.
