Mom and Dad have recently been on a mission to improve the artwork in low budget motels across the country. Here, they are shown hanging a nice picture of Mendocino in a Fort Bragg Super 8 room. No, of course that’s not what they are doing. I’m sad to report that this is actually the photo that will be offered as proof during their upcoming art theft trial. No, no, that’s not it either. Actually the truth of the matter is that they went up to Fort Bragg and Mendocino to see if the scene in the painting really existed. They didn’t find it, but since they were that close to Ferndale, I drove down to have dinner with them. It was nice to have a visit with them, even if only for a couple of hours.
