Loleta Fire
Sunday at last. Nothing planned except for sleeping in, going to the Veterans Pancake Breakfast, and then working in the yard. Fire alarm goes off at 6am, for a mutual aid call in Loleta. They were working on a structure fire that was fully engulfed when they arrived. By the time our engine and 6 guys got there, it was beginning to get knocked down, but there was still plenty of fire in the attic. About 3 hours later we started doing overhaul, and most of the house was charred, but at least we kept it spreading to the adjoining structures. Lori and I did make it to the pancake breakfast, and as soon as I’m done here, we’ll be back at home working, me working in the yard, and Lori inside working on her book.
