Last night we had a medical call and during the call the assistant chief mentioned that there would be helicopter training this morning and they would page us for it. They set off the page about 5 minutes before we were supposed to be there and when I arrived everyone was surprised that I didn’t bring the camera. I didn’t realize it, but we got to go up in the helicopter. So I rushed back to the office to get the camera. It was a short 5 minute flight around Ferndale, and since I was sitting in the middle seat it was a bit hard to take pictures, but I did manage to take about 20 pictures of Ferndale from various angles. I was hoping to get some good pictures of our house, but we flew directly over it, and since the helicopter didn’t have a glass bottom, I was out of luck. I did get this one picture though where you can see our house. It’s nestled in the trees at the very left of the picture.
