A couple of months ago Heidi and I saw each other’s portfolios on the internet and wanted to work with each other. Only problem was we live at opposite ends of the state. But she said she could manage a road trip so we scheduled a weekend that she could stay here in Ferndale with us. On her way up though a deer hit her car on 101 in Cloverdale after crossing two lanes of traffic and the median. According to Heidi, the deer looked like it was going to veer away, and then at the last second it put its head down and butted her car. The deer came through the driver’s side window and also managed to take out the windshield, the A pillar and severely dented the roof. It also somehow managed to take off the rear door handle without leaving a scratch in the paint. Even more surprising it also broke the rear window on the passenger side. Heidi was pretty lucky after being so unlucky. She ended up in the hospital, but only suffered lacerations to one side of the face and her arms, mostly from the broken glass. She did end up with a few deer ticks, just to add insult to injury.
