The rain continued, rather heavy at times, so once again photo ops were limited. We did stop at one spot for a hike down to some very scenic bluffs. In between rain squalls I was able to take a few pictures but then it started hailing so we figured we better hike back up to the truck. Driving home we realized just how close this beautiful part of Oregon is to Ferndale, and certainly within distance for easy day trips. I bought a book about the area at a coffeehouse bookstore this morning, so I think we’re going to be exploring this area some more whenever we get the chance. We got Lori some good hiking boots today on our return to Eureka. Now we’re going to have to look into getting some raingear appropriate for hiking.
