Today I combined work with pleasure and took a hike through Russ Park. I’m working on a web site for the City of Ferndale and I wanted some pictures of the various trail heads because some are a bit obscure. I came across this mushroom and decided to try something a bit different with it. Using my 14mm lense which will focus to within a few inches of the lense, I placed the camera right on the forest floor to get a slug’s eye view. Later I thought about getting a mushroom’s view of a banana slug, but the ones I saw weren’t what you’d call prime examples of the slug species. So that will have to wait for a future trip. I’m sure you’re all looking forward to that picture.
