Oh my God! Did Matt finally break down and decide to get a cell phone? Sorry to disappoint you all, but no it’s not a cell phone. For some time now I’ve had my eyes on the Pentax Optio line of waterproof cameras. When they introduced their latest, the W10, and the price came down to under $250, I figured it was time to get one. I wanted a camera that was good resolution (this one is 6 megapixels) and was small enough that I could stand to wear it on my hip so I was always ready to shoot. Gunslinger of the new west I guess. With my work in the fire department, and living in a wet climate, I was very attracted to the waterproof design of this camera. Not to mention I’ll be ready next time we go snorkeling. It also has the ability to take short movies, so you might start seeing video clips here too.

I haven’t had time to use it too much so I’ll have to give a full review later. I purchased the camera from Prestige Camera and these people are such a bunch of crooks I figured I’d write a little testament to them. I really don’t know how people could go to work everyday knowing that they are purposely trying to screw people. These people have gone out of their way to screw people as I discovered. There are so many complaints against them they’ve resorted to writing their own good reviews in an attempt to dilute the negatives. They even went so far as to create a whole separate web site with fake ratings that innocently steers people their way. Disgusting. Next time I’ll stick with Amazon when I can’t find something locally.
