New Camera
My main purpose in going to the PPA convention in Las Vegas was to check out the new cameras available, since my Fuji S1 was starting to have trouble and was getting out dated. I was especially interested in the Kodak SLR/n, and here is one of the first pictures from my new digital camera that arrived a few days ago. The Kodak besides having the stunning quality that a 14 megapixel camera offers, has two other major benefits that I’m really planning to put to use. First it uses a full size sensor, so my 35mm lenses act exactly the way they do on my old 35mm bodies. So it will be nice to have wide angle lenses again. Also as this shot demonstrates, the camera is capable of taking very long exposures through a unique ISO system that lets you set the ISO as low as 6. For you non photo geeks, that is extremely slow, since even the slowest film is rated at 25. This feature allows you to take photos like this one where the water is very blurred.
