I’ve been trying to get a picture of the Ferndale skyline from Rose Ave with a really cool sunset and tonight seemed like a potential winner. While I was waiting for the sun to set I took this picture of the sky looking in the other direction. I really liked the cloud formation. It ended up being the best shot of the night because as it often does in Ferndale, the fog rolled in and cancelled tonight’s sunset. Later tonight we received the phone call we had been expecting, that Lori’s dad had passed away. We had a chance to visit with him near Sonora two weeks ago and we were lucky to find him having one of his good days. It was a bit too much deja vu though. Our two beloved fathers, Dan and Robert, who together sang the Lord’s Prayer at our wedding almost 25 years ago, are now singing together in heaven.
