The last few weeks Lori has been letting the cats out in the backyard each morning. We’ve also noticed that the deer are becoming braver and braver about coming into the yard. So it was only a matter of time before they met. They seemed especially interested in Galen, and surpisingly, he in them. I really expected Galen to run first but he hunched and hissed and it was the deer that backed off. Then it ran into the corral and chased the other one around in circles a few times before they both finally jumped the fence and made their escape. So maybe we don’t need that dog after all.
