The herb garden has some new plants since you’ve last seen it. In the foreground is the beginnings of a boxwood hedge that will line both sides of the brick walkway that goes to the front door. We bought a flat of boxwood because I just couldn’t swallow the $8 times 30 that it was going to cost if we did gallon plants. Patience is a virtue right? We had some bark left over from the driveway project so we started putting it in the herb garden. Dresses it up pretty nice and I’m sure Lori will appreciate the easier maintenance. We decided to skip the newspaper this time though because we found it that it ends up very messy when the horsetails start poking through, not to mention the gophers. Overall there’s still a lot more planting to be done, but it’s nice to finally see some color in the front yard.
