Chicken Pox
Due to a very infectious disease that is spreading this year, there are no poultry displays at the fair. To make use of the space that normally houses the chickens, ducks, turkeys, and other assorted fowl creatures, they set up two contests for the children to enter. Today’s picture is from the first contest, the Decorated Chickens. Here kids had to create a chicken (or other fowl) from whatever materials they deemed appropriate. Some of the displays were pretty funny, but the best part was the notes that the judge left. Judging from the handwriting, and the blunt honesty in the critiques, I would have to speculate that the judge was a kid, but he/she also showed a great sense of humor in each write-up.
