Lori saw this hat at a Vintage Fashion Expo show in San Francisco and instantly fell in love with it. Unfortunately, she had already overspent her budget by the time she got to the vendor who had it. While she was in the dressing room trying on something else just for fun, Matt ran back to the vendor’s booth and asked them to put the hat away and he would be back the next day to buy it. That evening his best friend called with tickets to a Niners game the next day, providing the perfect cover for a return trip to San Francisco. The hat went home with his best friend and 4 months later it was presented to Lori as her Christmas present.

This hat comes from a period where women’s hats got enormous. You have to make sure it’s a calm day before venturing out side with one of these on your head, otherwise, it won’t be there for long. This particular hat features several ostrich plumes on each side that come together in the front where there is a design made out of jet beads.

The hat is a perfect complement to the teens shirtwaists that are in the collection. It’s also a fun prop for boudoir pictures.
