This beaded capelet was purchased by Matt while he was on a motorcycle tour through the Midwest. The front and back are almost solid beading, and the sides are a beaded net.
This capelet is one of Matt’s favorite pieces to photograph, as it is well suited for elegant boudoir photographs. The first photoshoot with Heather shows how it would typically look, being worn with our 1880 Burgundy Bodice, while the other photoshoots show it’s boudoir potential.
This piece also shows the history of most of the camera’s Matt has used for shooting models. The first two shoots, were shot using a Nikon FM2 and film. The shot with Sheila, was the first photoshoot he used a digital camera for, an Epson that had an amazing 2.1 megapixels! The shoots with Alissa at the Gingerbread Inn and Jessica in the studio were shot with a 6 megapixel Fujifilm DSLR. By the time Matt shot Stephanie in the studio, he had upgraded to an Kodak Pro SLR/n, a 13.5 megapixel camera. The last shoot, with Ayrica was shot with a Nikon D80. It looks like it’s time to shoot this piece again, so Matt’s current camera, a Nikon D610 can be added to the list.
