1915 Gold Silk Dress

1915 Gold Silk Dress

Date: c.1915

Modeled by: Danah & Margo

Location: Aesthetic Design & Photography studio

Price: $200

This is one of those Edwardian dresses that should have come with instructions on how to wear it. In trying it on a mannequin when we first got it, we were a bit baffled, coming up with several ways it could go together. It is quite involved with many hidden hooks and snaps, but we think we narrowed it down to two choices. In the first shoot, Danah models it with the tails wrapped around the front. This is probably the way it was worn. In the second shoot, Margo shows how it would look with the tails worn as a train.
