This beautiful bodice was a gift to our collection from Toby, one of our VPA friends. It is mainly black silk, with a lace collar and an Oriental tapestry front, giving the appearance of a black jacket being worn over a pale blue bodice. The lace has hooks and eyes down the front, and then the tapestry portion buttons over that.
