This marquis parasol is in extremely good shape for one that is 160 years old, but that’s primarily due to it being made from cotton, not silk. It is 17″ in diameter, and has a 26″ long folding ebony handle. The handle ends in a simple turned knob. The top has a simple ruffle. The marquis shaft has an extra joint at the top that allows the top to be tilted.
