Tree Shopping
Yesterday, Lori had off from work so we thought we would finally get our Christmas tree. We went to the lot in Ferndale but nobody was there. So we went to one cut your own lot in Loleta where we had purchased trees before but all they had were Bishop pines. These trees were all as wide as they were tall, which doesn’t work out very well when you have 10′ ceilings but a 7′ wide bay window. So we went to the other lot in Loleda, which was closed. Then back to Ferndale and the person still never showed up at the lot there. So no tree yet.
Today the fire department put on a fire extinguisher demonstration for the chamber of commerce. Here Tara, who works at the bank next to the fire hall, takes aim and successfully completes her task. I asked her later how she liked it and whether she wanted to join the department. She replied she plans to keep her day job.
