This was a little experiment to figure out how to create a Quicktime VR object movie. I’ve created panoramas before where you spin the camera inside a room for example, but in an object movie it is the object that spins while the camera stays stationary. I used my Sprint ST model as the guniea pig. Now lori wants one of her PT Cruiser model. I may try that one to try some other features that you can incorporate into a quicktime vr movie.
Note: Apple pretty much abandoned their QuickTime VR software, and browsers quit supporting the plugin. So in 2019 I redid the Sprint VR movie, using the Object2VR app. It uses HTML5 to create the animation. You can drag your mouse over the image below to rotate the model.
