Today Greg and I finally were able to get away and work on our redwoods project. Step one was to haul a truckload of camera equipment into the redwoods to take some demonstration pictures. I think the roll call went something like this: Greg had a 4×5 view camera, and a Nikon N90 35mm. I brought along a Pentax 645 medium format, two Nikon FM2 35mm bodies, a Fuji S1 digital, and an Epson 850z digital. We took a series of basically the same shot with each camera, which we will use to help demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of each format of camera. The picture shown was taken with the Fuji S1. It was a beautiful day in Humboldt County, and not a bad way to spend a work day at all. We checked out several locations, found some good spots and the plans continue to develop.
