Our porch received the roof and the newel posts in the last couple of days. It sure is nice being able to go out our front door again. Not only do we have steps from the porch, but the ground has finally dried out enough that you can walk on it with normal shoes. Last Monday it was really nice in the morning so Lori and I walked to work and it’s such a pretty walk when the sun is out. I was thinking to myself that it only takes one beautiful morning like that to wipe out the memories of three ugly months of wet weather.
