Earlier this week I got a surprise email from Mike McCoy. He happened to be looking for a web designer and photographer, and found my web site. Shortly thereafter, I received a box of parts to photograph. The company that he works for, Altanova, designs sockets, heat sinks, and boards for testing circuits. Pictured is one of their heat sinks, a nicely anodized blue unit. Some of you will know what heat sinks do and probably won’t care, and the rest of you who don’t know what heat sinks do, really won’t care. But commercial photography has its own challenges and it’s an area of photography that I was surprised that I enjoy so much.
