Thu, Apr. 1, 2004 - Ferndale's April Fool's
Driving to work this morning we noticed this signal on Main Street. My first thought was that they must be doing some road work or something so I started to slow down. Then I saw the people in front of Poppa Joe's laughing and I realized what was going on. Several tourists though patiently sat there waiting for it to turn green, and only figured it out after several other cars drove around them. The scary part was that the majority of drivers didn't even notice it at all.
Fri, Apr. 2, 2004 - He's Back
Apparently it's that time of year again. At our house we have frog season, we have spider season, and we can tell when spring is finally here because we have bird crap season.
Wed, Apr. 7, 2004 - Ocean Ranch
It cleared up very nicely today so I took the afternoon off to go take pictures. I went out to Ocean Ranch to check the progress of the lupines. Still a few more days (weeks?) before they are in full bloom. I was planning on taking sunset pictures, but I forgot about the time change and I didn't want to wait another hour for it to set.
Sun, Apr. 11, 2004 - Erin
I recently placed some fliers at College of the Redwoods regarding modeling, so hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be introducing some new faces here. This is Erin, and she's modeling an evening bodice from the early 1900s. The lady who wore this bodice originally must have had quite a bossom. I think we'd need a model with a pair of those really huge implants to do this bodice justice.
Tue, Apr. 13, 2004 - Graduation
Tonight we had our graduation for the Firefighters Academy. Once again Lori proved that she's not the photographer in the family. The truck in the background is Eureka's HazMat truck, which was is a converted beer delivery van. The fireman on the left was our teacher for the HazMat class I also took recently. If you pay attention you can see him hassling Dustin Hoffman in the movie Outbreak, just as Dustin arrives in Ferndale in his Humvee.
