After completing our Egyptian house, Lori suggested another exotic destination to continue our building spree: India. I must admit, I knew little about Indian architecture so a lot of research had to be done.

Mostly what I found was that modern Indian architecture was, well, modern. They seem to really like boxy houses. Not what we were after.

I also found that it’s really hard to do research on Indian anything, because of course the results are contaminated by Native Americans being referred to as Indians. Damn Christopher Columbus!

Once I found enough examples of traditional Indian architecture, I began to worry that this house was going to be as complicated as our Victorian dream house. Fortunately the 3D Warehouse was up to the task, including a bevy of options to choose from for the domes.

It ended up being a very fun house to put together, and is now a contender with the Japanese house for being our favorite.
