With the heavy rains this year, the deer haven’t been such a problem in the yard. I think first off, most of them must have been stuck on the other side of the creek when it came up. Second for a long time our yard wasn’t very hospitable for creatures with small pointy feet. It was hard enough to walk around for us flat footers. In fact I found some hoof prints in the back by the creek that were so deep I was surprised the deer wasn’t still there. So it was very nice to see that when this deer came into our yard, it didn’t immediately head over to our rose bushes which actually have blossoms on them this year. Instead it ate the weeds around the stump I still need to pull. I wish I could rely on them to only eat my weeds, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
