This morning I photographed our Engine 1 for the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department web site. Lori has wanted a picture of me in my full turnouts so I figured I would take a shot with me posing with the engine since I’m in Company #1. Just after I parked the engine on the lawn at the fairgrounds for the photos, two girls (probably 8 & 10 years old) came up and the first question was, “Is that a fire truck?” Boy, you sure can’t slip anything by kids these days.
