Greg called to tell be about the latest excitement in his life. This guy has interesting things happen to him all the time, and if he had a video cam mounted on his head, it would make a great reality show. What he reported today was that just as he was coming out of the doctor’s office in Ferndale, a dog started chasing a 4 point buck. Now why a buck was on Main Street at 10am I don’t know. But apparently the dog was such a threat, that the buck decided his best course of action would be to jump into a vacant storefront. Right through the 1/4″ plate glass window. Then startled even more he decided that was a mistake, and so exitted the building. Right through another plate glass window. The buck collapsed nearby and a Ferndale police officer was going to put the buck out of his misery. Right in front of a bunch of kids and their moms who even though the buck had shards of glass sticking out of his neck did not want to see the buck shot. The deer managed to run away with the police in tow, and was eventually put down. Who ended up having venison that night has not been reported.
