Victorian & Edwardian Clothing Accessories
Capes & Capelets
Most of the capes and capelets that you will see from the Victorian period are black, and that leads many people to believe that they are all mourning garments. That may or may not be true, and without specific documentation it's hard to say. But they are so beautiful, it's hard to believe they were only worn while mourning.

Hats
Victorian hats started out small, and were often adorned with feathers, or even complete birds. By the time of the Edwardian period, hats had grown in size to become tremendous displays of chiffon, feathers, and beading.
