1900 Black Silk Dress
This is the dress that started Lori's collection. Her husband found it in a Los Altos antique store while on a motorcycle ride and seeing that it looked like it was a size that Lori could wear, he took her back to the store. She tried it on and it looked like it would fit her very well. It was hard to tell because the dress needed some restoring and it was hard to tell how it was even supposed to go together. Like many Edwardian dresses, it features many hooks and overlaying panels that make getting into it a chore.
Lori restored the dress, replacing some of the silk lining that had disintegrated, and some of the lace that had been shredded.
