Sat, Nov. 1, 2003 - Petrolia Cemetery
Our garbage situation was getting out of hand because the recyclable center is only open Mon-Sat, the same days we work. So I took the morning off today to gather up all our cans, bottles, cardbord, and paper and took them down to the center. Then with an afternoon left over, and it being such a nice sunny day, I decided to take the KLR650 over the Lost Coast loop once again. Stopped at the Petrolia Cemetery, but I guess not much goes on there the day after Halloween.
Sun, Nov. 2, 2003 - Got Milk?
That seems to be Trevor's favorite question lately. He knows as soon as he hears the cookie bag rustling, that milk will shortly follow. This picture is just for Mom. She'll probably never eat in our house again.
Mon, Nov. 3, 2003 - 3 Pointer
Deer hunting season is just over, otherwise this guy probably wouldn't be so conspicuous. He was in the neighbor's yard, along with about 6 other deer. I'm not sure, but I think he's expressing his opinion on the recent weather change. While Sunday a week ago it was 85 degrees in Ferndale, (still checking to see what the record is) yesterday it was cold and very wet. We had our first real soaking of the season, and it rained pretty good all day. Saturday it was cold enough to leave a quarter inch of ice in the wheelbarrow outside. Today it cleared up again, but it remained very cold. (By our standards anyways. Those of you who experience real cold can imitate the buck's expression.)
Wed, Nov. 5, 2003 - Spinning the Sprint
This was a little experiment to figure out how to create a Quicktime VR object movie. I've created panoramas before where you spin the camera inside a room for example, but in an object movie it is the object that spins while the camera stays stationary. I used my Sprint ST model as the guniea pig. now lori wants one of her pt cruiser model. i may try that one to try some other features that you can incorporate into a quicktime vr movie.
Tue, Nov. 11, 2003 - A Christmas Carol
The rain kept me indoors lately, so sorry about the lack of updates the last week. The only photos I had taken were for Lori's book, which, while being instructive for the patternmaker, aren't exactly exciting on their own. Tonight though, I took the publicity shots for the reps' next play, "A Christmas Carol". The play is an adaption of the famous Charles Dicken's play of the same name.
